ORCHESTRAL

Working in an orchestral environment is one of the most intriguing artistic challenges in performing New Art Music repertoire with an electric instrument. Surrounded by a mass of acoustic instruments generating a wide geography of sound, the obstacle of fusing the electric guitar without taking the role of the “exotic” instrument (or just being the “loud” rocker) is one of my main interests in such setting. Whether being a soloist (Concerto context) or just part of the orchestra my continuous aim then is to shape a texture and sound world that fuses the guitar in the most natural manner while still maintaining its character and capabilities.
