Alone Together is the third and most current collaboration I’m having with double bassist Uli Fussenegger. Premiering in Stuttgart at the Eclat Festival (Feb. 2021) we will be presenting new pieces by composers Georges Aperghis, Clara Iannotta, Andreas Dohmen & Christopher Trapani. The title is referencing the classic album “Alone Together” by Jim Hall & Ron Carter but in this case the intimate meeting point of double bass and electric guitar is to feature live or prerecorded electronics, each reflecting the personal aesthetic of the above mentioned composers suggesting different perspective on the potential fusion of the given sonorities. Previous collaborations with Fussenegger include the works “San Teodoro 8” (Available on Kairos label) and “Synthetic Skin”.
